Tree Update

After good rain the cherry and peach finished blossoming. I haven't needed to water them yet.

In the pictures you can see:

  • A double grafted lemon tree in the black pot
  • The fig tree that looks like a twig, it's still green inside so i assume this is normal.
  • Triple Grafted apple tree with royal gala, red delicious and pink lady.
  • The peach tree with around 20 little peaches (much sooner than I expected)
  • A sunburst cheery tree, which is self pollinating, meaning I don't need a male and female pair.
  • rosemary and Vietnamese mint growing in the small pots.

Once a month I use a little organic fertiliser so the trees have everything they need to make yummy fruit. I've been able to move the trees around when I need the space for BBQs and when mowing the lawn. Trees on wheels are very handy!

Wheelie Bin Trees

I've started with a Cherry, Fig and Peach. It will take at least 2 years for them to fruit.

Because I rent there is no reason to plant the trees in the ground.

Total Cost $80 Per bin with tree dirt and fertiliser.
